Roy was an All-Star with humility and professionalism, with a soft jumper to compliment a hard drive to the hoop, and a player willing to give the same effort on both ends of the floor. Let’s hope he’s back to old form.
I dislike the Wolves but Roy is still my favorite player and I will root for him to succeed. Even if that means rooting for Minny. I know he’ll bleed red and black blazer blood even while in a wolves jersey.
Roy can play for whatever team he wants, even if it’s the Wolves who are slowly building a rivalry with us. But at the end of the day, he’s still gonna bleed Red&Black Blazer blood! And his heart will always be in Rip City <3
117 more days until he comes back and gets the loudest standing ovation ever.
Better starting 5?
Lillard, Matthews, Batum, Aldridge, Hibbert
Rubio, Ridnour, Budinger/Williams, Love, Pecovik
”I wish but do to the nba rules I cannot play in portland until 2014 2015.. I’m lookin to return sooner”
“no matter where I play portland will always have a special place in my heart..#pdx”
…If he’s wearing a jersey other than a Blazers jersey, I will support him 110%. But I’ll also die inside.
Favorite basketball players of all time?
Bulls Nation, let’s do this for Rose. See Red!
I understand that Gerald had to go but we could have gotten better for him. Same goes for Camby, was no one willing to give up a 1st round pick? Because that 2nd round pick from Rockets is useless.
All in all firing Nate was a right move but let’s just see where we go from here.
Funny how all of this is happening and we don’t even have a GM.
If I was in charge I’d hire Brandon Roy, not as a head coach but an assistant.
Fire Nate, hire Roy.
Build around Aldridge and Batum, idgaf about the rest of the players at the moment.
Gerald Wallace aka crash is great and all but on the road he’s about as good as Greg Oden.
I mean Josh smith is on the market and if he can play the 3, we should go and get him. Or move LMA to the 5 and let Smith play the 4. Either way we need to make some moves. ASAP. But I fear it’s too late for us to make the playoffs :(
This better be real or else he’s just messing with my emotions.
They pulled Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge from the 2006 Draft and took Greg Oden the following year. Seemingly the pieces for a future championship run were in place. One was a scoring guard, the other a double-double power forward and the third a center with a tendency to rebound and defend. Pretty much everything was covered. The Young Three was diverse in talent, filled important roles and had room for growth and greatness.
And yet, almost five years later, the Big Three is reduced to a Big One-Third after having that group literally sliced apart by a surgeon’s scalpel.
